You are not crazy, something is wrong with the church!
WHY DO NUMOS EXIST
You may be familiar with terms like Latter Day Saint, Mormon, Active, Less Active, Jack Mormon and Anti-Mormon but have never heard of the term Numo. What in the flip is a Numo? Before you start thumbing through your scriptures, the name Numo is not in there.
Let me try to explain. Most people assume that when it comes to Mormonism a person can only eventually fall into one of two primary camps settling in as a believer or a disbeliever of the “church”. While the World has basically operated with this mindset for nearly two centuries the truth is that it has evolved beyond these two opposite positions.
To explain the label Numo we need to point out changes that took place over time giving place for a label like Numo in Mormonism.
The name of the church in the Book of Mormon was at times called the Church of Christ (scrip) . In 1830 when the church was organized by Joseph Smith it was again called the Church of Christ. Evidence of this can be found in the first scripture and tracks produced follow the church’s establishment in the Book of Commandments ( pic) which would later become the Doctrine & Covenants in 1836.
Members of the church in 1830 were given the nickname Mormons due to their acceptance and use of the Book of Mormon. Those who did not regard the Book of Mormon as scripture or Joseph Smith as a prophet were known as Anti-Mormons. The name Jack Mormons was given to those while not accepting the Book of Mormon or Joseph Smith but were kind and supportive. Later the use of Jack Mormons itself evolved into being associated with Mormons which did not follow the church’s modern Word of Wisdom teachings.
In 1832 the church was put under condemnation and given warnings to repent for things they were doing wrong. (scrip). The Modern LDS church acknowledges this condemnation and believes that they are still under this judgement. By 1834 the church had not needed the warning and had not repented therefore the Lord removed His name from off of the church and the church went from the Church of Christ to the Church of Latter Day Saints. The nickname Latter Day Saints or LDS was added to the list of identities for followers of the religion.

Terrestrial church became telestial.
Nauvoo more warnings again a temple to complete this time the members were less dedicated in the building of Nauvoo than Kirtland and worked on their own interests and delved deeper into grosser sins like polygamy, and Joseph was removed along with the Melchezdek priesthood. Saints were removed out of their place. The church was fully rejected.
Split church, introduces more labels, like RLDS, Brighamites, Rigdonites, Brickerites, Strangites and later FLDS.
Isaiah prophecy on a Remnant being awakened, drawn out of the church and gathered to build Zion. Zion can not be built by a condemned church. A righteous remnant will do it.
The awakened are not a church, have no formal organization or leaders.
In 2023 a prominent awaken individual named Justin Griffin went on a LDS YouTube Show at the time called Midnight Mormons ( now, Ward Radio) ( Episope link) one of the midnight Mormon’s host, Kwaiku coined the name Numos for this awakened movement. The nickname Numos has started to come into more widespread use and acceptance by the group in part due to the name Remnant being used by another unaffiliated awakened group led by a person named Denver Snuffer. Snuffer’s group has some overlapping beliefs but have many major differences.
Numos are like Lehi who left Jerusalem and went into wilderness. There they learned to draw upon the Lord. These type of exodus are a common pattern the Lord uses to test and strengthen His people.
Children of Israel 40 years wondering in the desert, Lehi and his family, Alma. Joseph was removed just like Moses was taken away when the people became too reliant on Moses rather than their God. Parable of the Ten Virgins, depart ye never knew me.
People have long thought that there are only two sides to the question of Mormonism. You either fall into the Mormon Camp or align with Anti-Mormons. But is there now, or someday going to be, a needed group of people coming from the middle?
Isaiah has spoken that in the Last Days, a Remnant of Jacob will return (Isaiah 10:21). The Lord will pull these remnant individuals out of the main body of believers to establish Zion. If the churches and their predominant membership were to establish Zion, then there would be no need for a Remnant or group outside of the churches.
Numos are people from the Mormon Restoration backgrounds who have been awakened to see that both the Mormon and Anti-Mormon arguments are both correct and wrong and that others will need to step in and be that long ago prophesized Remnant.

ARE NUMOS THE REMNANT?

Numos are not the Remnant that the Lord that will call to go on an exodus to build Zion, but many that are selected to be apart of the exodus Remnant will have been Numos because of their early awakened state where they have had more time to prepare to be worthy and understand the pure gospel that will govern Zion.
Numos have no leader, no official organization and no consensus beliefs. Numos are basically people of the Restoration communities that have become spiritually awakened to teachings that Zion will be built by individuals God chooses and not by churches or men. Numos are a people in the wilderness preparing themselves and being prepared by the Lord to possibly one day be apart of the great End Times Remnant Exodus to build Zion prior to the Lord's Second Coming.
Numos are not associated with the current Remnant Church, Denver Snuffer or other groups but do share some beliefs.
